What’s a Percussion Choir?

Hi it’s Anne here from die Ratsmusiker,
I’m wanting to talk to you about our Percussion Choir. I thought I’d just show
you what a typical rehearsal looks like. Here’s a typical rehearsal for
Percussion Choir that’s going to be starting in Blaxland on Monday evenings.
I hope you can come along. So first of all we’re going to have a Welcome and
then we’re going to do some rhythm warm-ups learning some basic note values
using the blue drums and a laugh. And then we’re going to do the hard stuff,
the Vocal. It’s optional. We won’t be doing pitches at the moment. We’ll be
speaking, whispering and shouting together and we’ll be doing some Fear
Factory that’ll help us get into using our voices and I’m not a singer so I’m
gonna be as much of the beginner as everybody else but I’m a musician so
I’ll be able to help guide everyone through. Then we’re going to get together
have some tea and coffee, get to know each other then we’re going to have more fun
playing Linchpin by Fear Factory and play and grunt along. And then we’re
going to have a look at some special projects we’ll be developing. The one
we’ll be doing the week after we’ll be developing some rhythms and some sounds
that can be a backing track for rappers that’s one idea and then time to go home. So Percussion Choir is like pretty unique. If you’d like to find out more call me
or send me a text the number is 0415 533 195. Or you can visit PercussionChoir.com We’d love to see you in Blaxland. We’ll be starting soon as soon
as I have a gaggle of people that are interested, off we go!!
