Next Big Sound Artist Profile Page Walkthrough


Welcome to the artist profile page. This
is your one-stop-shop for in-depth reporting and insights for a particular
artist. The profile is broken up into several sections to help you easily see
information in context for public data sources like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
and YouTube. You can quickly jump to any available section using the navigation
menu on the left. If you want to track how an artist you care about is
performing, just click the follow button They’ll be included in your daily or weekly
profile report email, and you’ll have easy access to their profile on your
Next Big Sound homepage. The artist spotlight, located directly underneath
the artist name, is a great way to get an overview of how an artist is performing
compared to the broader music industry. These insights are unique to Next Big
Sound and are available for every artist profile. You can view more detailed
information about each spotlight by clicking on its title. To close it just click the X. The audience section shows a composite
of how an artist audience breaks down based on gender and location. This is a fast way to see where and with
whom an artist is performing strongest. If you want to see how this artist
compares to another, it’s easy to see various metrics side-by-side by clicking
on the search for comparison field on the left-hand navigation menu. Just type
an artist name and you’ll see the two artists compared throughout the profile. To stop comparing just click the X In
the search field. The recent releases section shows graphs of the first 14
days of activity for the three most recent releases across YouTube, Vevo,
or Vine, depending on what public data sources are connected to the profile. The
releases section shows a table of data for the artist overall top 40 releases.
If you want to see data from farther back on a table, click the drop-down
labeled last week in the left-hand navigation menu and select a
longer-range. The table will automatically update with additional
columns. To sort by any column, just click on the column title. The reach section lists an artist overall
follower numbers across multiple data sources. This is a great way to see which
networks are strongest for a particular artist and how they’re growing. The
engagement section lists data on where an artists most passionate fans are
interacting with them. You’ll see metrics for likes, mentions, views, and more
depending on what data sources are connected. At the bottom of each profile
we list all the data sources we pull from for a particular artist. If you need
to connect our updated an artist’s data source click on the edit data sources
button. We also list any data notices that may affect the data displayed. If
