Today we’re in Amsterdam by the Bijlmerpark in the South East of the city. We’re at the Kwaku Summer Festival which is a multicultural festival which celebrates the end of slavery. Here we go! Amsterdam is one of the most multicultural cities in the world and festivals like this certainly prove it. Really nice! There are a lot of vendors, so I’m really looking forward to trying some of the food. We found some fruit and vegetables which you don’t usually get so we’ve got some mangosteens, which I’ll try when we get home. I can’t wait. Pure coconut milk in an ice lollipop. Delicious! Pineapple, coconut and strawberry. I’m gonna try coconut. There’s lots of barbequed meat happening and I’m hungry. So we’re going to find something now. Delicious! There’s a stage here and there’s the Kwaku Choir who are singing for us now. So amazing. We are now standing here at a stall from Curacao and we’re going to have a look at some of the stuff here. I can’t wait to taste something. Oh lovely. This is called Ko’i Lechi. It’s milk, condensed milk, sugar There’s this nice flea market area, selling clothes, shoes and these kind of things. Impressive actually. There’s this big selection of Chinese cakes here. We’re going to try the vanilla flavoured one. It’s nice and soft. It’s light. Very nice. We’ve just finished at the Kwaku Summer Festival. It was amazing! The food is incredible, the music is incredible and there’s such a variety of cultures represented, that it’s really amazing to see. It’s a fridge delivery service. WAIT! Ahhh, I got it everywhere.
