How to Play the Djembe Drum : How to Store Your Djembe Drum

Hello! My name is Aaron Moon and I’m here
today on behalf of expertvillage.com. I’m going to be discussing a simple way to store
your Djembe the African hand drum the Djembe. Now you can find cases for the Djembe as stores
that you pick them up whether it be a small music store in your town or a guitar center
wherever you might find one. And the cases share the same shape as the drum just a tab
bit larger, have a top that folds over and you can zip that closed, now they don’t
necessarily come with the drum usually it’s an added accessory and if you don’t have
the funds or you’re just not interested and still want to pack your Djembe whether
it’s going to a gig or whether a moving time, an easy way to do it is to find a blanket
or an afghan like such, unfold it, lay your Djembe inside and take some of the end and
put in the very bottom of the Djembe. It’s fairly easy I mean this isn’t anything you
wouldn’t think up maybe yourself but you’re just going to roll it along, if you have a bungee cord or if you have maybe
some duct tape which is pretty much all purpose you can secure it like so. Now you’re really
going to want to do this if you’re a gigging musician or if you’re just going to be transporting
your instrument, you’re going to want to do this so it doesn’t get nicked so the
actual shell of the drum doesn’t cracked or the head of the drum doesn’t get punctured.
You’re also going to want to wrap it up so the weather doesn’t effect your drum
whether it be hot and humid weather changing the pitch of your head or whether it’s raining
outside or freezing you’ll want to keep it protected from those elements. So this
is just an alternative to buying a case fairly simple and if you didn’t think of it already
I hope this helped out, so please come back and check out expertvillage.com for any questions
on the hand drum the Djembe.
